For if you forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.

Moreover when you fast, don't be as the hypocrites, of a sad countenance: for they disfigure their faces, that they may be seen of men to fast. Truly I say to you, They have received their reward.

Don't lay up for yourselves treasures on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal:

but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consumes, and where thieves do not break through nor steal:

for where your treasure is, there will your heart be also.

No man can serve as a slave to two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or he will hold to one, and despise the other. You can't serve as a slave to God and mammon.

Therefore I say to you, don't be anxious for your life, what you shall eat, or what you shall drink; nor yet for your body, what you shall put on. Isn't life more than food, and body than raiment?

For after all these things the Gentiles seek; for your heavenly Father knows that you have need of all these things.

Therefore don't be anxious for the next day: for the next day will be anxious for itself. Sufficient to the day is the evil thereof.

For with what judgment you judge, you shall be judged: and with what measure you mete, it shall be measured to you.

for every one that asks receives; and he that seeks finds; and to him that knocks it shall be opened.

Or what man is there of you, who, if his son shall ask him for a loaf, will give him a stone;

or if he shall ask for a fish, will give him a serpent?

All things therefore whatever you would that men should do to you, even so do you also to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Enter in by the narrow gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leads to destruction, and many are those that enter in thereby.

and the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat on that house; and it did not fall: for it was founded on the rock.

for he taught them as [one] having authority, and not as their scribes.

And Jesus says to him, See you tell no man; but go, show yourself to the priest, and offer the gift that Moses commanded, for a testimony to them.

For I also am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this one, Go, and he goes; and to another, Come, and he comes; and to my slave, Do this, and he does it.

For which is easier, to say, Your sins are forgiven; or to say, Arise, and walk?
