For we have all become as one that is unclean, and all our righteousnesses are as a polluted garment: and we all fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, take us away.

And there is none that calls on your name, that stirs up himself to take hold of you; for you have hid your face from us, and have consumed us by means of our iniquities.

Will you refrain yourself for these things, O Yahweh? will you hold your peace, and afflict us very intensely?

I am inquired of by those that didn't ask [for me]; I am found of those that didn't seek me: I said, Look at me, look at me, to a nation that did not call on my name.

that say, Stand by yourself, don't come near to me, for I am holier than you. These are a smoke in my nose, a fire that burns all the day.

Thus says Yahweh, As the new wine is found in the cluster, and one says, Don't destroy it, for a blessing is in it: so I will do for my slaves' sake, that I may not destroy them all.

And Sharon shall be a fold of flocks, and the valley of Achor a place for herds to lie down in, for my people that have sought me.

But you that forsake Yahweh, that forget my holy mountain, that prepare a table for Fortune, and that fill up mingled wine to Destiny;

look, my slaves shall sing for joy of heart, but you shall cry for sorrow of heart, and shall wail for vexation of spirit.

And you shall leave your name for a curse to my chosen; and the Lord Yahweh will slay you; and he will call his slaves by another name:

For, look, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things shall not be remembered, nor come into mind.

But be glad and rejoice forever in that which I create; for, look, I create Jerusalem a rejoicing, and her people a joy.

There shall be no more from there an infant of days, nor an old man that has not filled his days; for the child shall die a hundred years old, and the sinner being a hundred years old shall be accursed.

They shall not build, and another inhabit; they shall not plant, and another eat: for as the days of a tree shall be the days of my people, and my chosen shall long enjoy the work of their hands.

They shall not labor in vain, nor bring forth for calamity; for they are the seed of the blessed of Yahweh, and their offspring with them.

For all these things my hand has made, and [so] all these things had come to be, says Yahweh: but to this man I will look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and that trembles at my word.

Hear the word of Yahweh, you that tremble at his word: Your brothers that hate you, that cast you out for my name's sake, have said, Let Yahweh be glorious, that we may see your joy; but it is those that shall be put to shame.

Who has heard such a thing? who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? shall a nation be brought forth at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her sons.

Rejoice with Jerusalem, and be glad for her, all you that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all you that mourn over her;

For thus says Yahweh, Look, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the nations like an overflowing stream: and you shall be nursed [thereof]; you shall be borne on the side, and shall be dandled on the knees.
