My brethren, I do not consider that I have reached the goal; but this one thing I do know, forgetting those things which are behind me, I strive for those things which are before me,

But our labours are in heavenly things, from whence we look for our Saviour, our LORD Jesus Christ,

Do not worry over things; but always by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

But I rejoiced in our LORD greatly, that you have continued to care for me, just as you have always cared, even though you yourselves have not had sufficient.

But you have done well to share my difficulties.

Now you Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Mac-e-do''ni-a, no church shared with me, as concerning giving and receiving, but you only.

I do not say this because I want a gift, but because I want to see the fruits of the gospel increased to you.

But my God will supply all your needs according to his riches in the glory of Jesus Christ.

Even the mystery which has been hidden from ages and from generations, but now is revealed to his saints:

These are shadows of things to come; but the main objective is Christ.

And it appears there is some word of wisdom in these things when presented by the humble person in fear of God; provided they disregard the things of the flesh, not those things which are honourable but only those things which satisfy the pleasure of the flesh.

But now put off from you all these: anger, wrath, malice, blasphemy, foul conversation.

Do not lie one to another, but put away the old life with all its practices;

Where there is neither Jew nor Syrian, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Greek nor barbarian, slave nor freeman; but Christ is all and in all men.

Servants, obey your human masters in all things, not with eyeservice, as men pleasers; but with a sincere heart, in fear of the LORD.

But the wrongdoer shall be rewarded according to the wrong which he has done: and there is no respect of persons.

For our preaching to you was not in words only, but also in power, and with the Holy Spirit, and with sincere assurance; and you know also how we lived among you for your sakes.

Not only have you sounded out the word of our LORD in Mac-e-do''ni-a and A-cha''ia but also, in every place your faith in God has been heard so that we need not speak anything about you.

But from the beginning we suffered and as you know were treated shamefully, at Philip''pi; then with more struggle but with confidence in our God, we preached to you the gospel of Christ.

But just as we have been examined by God to be entrusted with his gospel, even so we speak, not to please men, but to please God who searches our hearts.
