and have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness, but rather even reprove them;

But all things when they are reproved are made manifest by the light,

Look therefore carefully how you walk, not as unwise, but as wise;

Therefore don't be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is.

And don't be drunk with wine, wherein is riot, but be filled with the Spirit;

But as the church is subject to Christ, so [let] the wives also [be] to their husbands in everything.

that he might present the church to himself a glorious [church], not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.

for no man ever hated his own flesh; but nourishes and cherishes it, even as Christ also the church;

This mystery is great: but I speak in regard of Christ and of the church.

Nevertheless, let each one of you also love his own wife even as himself; but the wife should fear her husband.

And, you fathers, do not provoke your children to wrath: but nurture them in the chastening and admonition of the Lord.

not in the way of eyeservice, as men-pleasers; but as slaves of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart;

For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world-rulers of this darkness, against the spiritual [hosts] of wickedness in the heavenly [places].

But that you also may know my affairs, how I do, Tychicus, the beloved brother and faithful servant in the Lord, shall make known to you all things:

but, the ones [that] proclaim Christ insincerely from faction, think to raise up affliction for me in my bonds.

according to my earnest expectation and hope, that in nothing shall I be put to shame, but [that] with all boldness, as always, [so] now also Christ shall be magnified in my body, whether by life, or by death.

But if to live in the flesh, -[if] this shall bring fruit from my work, then what I shall choose I don't know.

But I am in a strait between the two, having the desire to depart and be with Christ; for it is very far better:

and in nothing frightened by the adversaries: which is for them an evident token of perdition, but of your salvation, and that from God;

because to you it has been granted in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer in his behalf:
