But now, brothers, if I come to you speaking with tongues, what shall I profit you, unless I speak to you either by way of revelation, or of knowledge, or of prophesying, or of teaching?

For if I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my understanding is unfruitful.

For you truly give thanks well, but the other is not edified.

Brothers, don't be children in mind: yet in malice be babes, but in mind be men.

Therefore tongues are for a sign, not to those that believe, but to the unbelieving: but prophesying [is for a sign], not to the unbelieving, but to those that believe.

But if all prophesy, and an unbelieving or unlearned one comes in, he is reproved by all, he is judged by all;

but if there is no interpreter, let him keep silent in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.

But if a revelation is made to another sitting by, let the first keep silent.

for God is not [a God] of confusion, but of peace. As in all the churches of the saints,

let the women keep silent in the churches: for it is not permitted to them to speak; but let them be in subjection, as also the law says.

But if any man ignores [this], he is [to be] ignored.

But let all things be done decently and in order.

then he appeared to more than five hundred brothers at once, of whom the greater part remain until now, but some have fallen asleep;

But by the grace of God I am what I am: and his grace which was bestowed on me was not found vain; but I labored more abundantly than of them all: yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.

But if there is no resurrection of the dead, neither has Christ been raised:

But now Christ has been raised from the dead, the first fruits of those that are asleep.

But each in his own order: Christ the first fruits; then those that are Christ's, at his coming.

For, He put all things in subjection under his feet. But when he says, All things are put in subjection, it is evident that he is excepted who subjected all things to him.

But some one will say, How are the dead raised? and with what manner of body do they come?

and that which you sow, you do not sow the body that shall be, but a bare grain, it may be of wheat, or of some other kind;
