And Moses said, It is not right to do so; for we shall sacrifice something disgusting of the Egyptians to Yahweh our God: look, if we shall sacrifice something disgusting of the Egyptians before their eyes, then will they not stone us?

And Pharaoh said, I will let you go, that you may sacrifice to Yahweh your God in the wilderness; only you shall not go very far away: entreat for me.

For if you refuse to let them go, and will still hold them,

And the sacred scholars could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the sacred scholars, and on all the Egyptians.

For this time I will send all my plagues on your heart, and on your slaves, and on your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.

For now I have put forth my hand, and have smitten you and your people with pestilence, and you have been cut off from the earth:

but in deed for this very cause I have made you to stand, to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.

Now therefore send, hurry in your cattle and all that you have in the field; [for] all of man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.

And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, I have sinned this time: Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.

Entreat Yahweh; for there has been enough of [these] mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.

But as for you and your slaves, I know that you will not yet fear Yahweh God.

And the flax and the barley were smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.

But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they were not grown up.

And Yahweh said to Moses, Go in to Pharaoh: for I have hardened his heart, and the heart of his slaves, that I may show these signs of mine in his midst,

For if you refuse to let my people go, look, tomorrow I will bring locusts into your border:

and they shall cover the face of the earth, so that one shall not be able to see the earth: and they shall eat the residue of that which has escaped, which remains to you from the hail, and shall eat every tree which grows for you out of the field:

And Moses said, We will go with our young and with our old; with our sons and with our daughters, with our flocks and with our herds we will go; for we must hold a feast to Yahweh.

And he said to them, So be Yahweh with you, as I will let you go, and your little ones: look to it; for evil is before you.

Not so: now go, you that are [prominent] men, and serve Yahweh; for that is what you desire. And he had them driven out from Pharaoh's presence.

And Yahweh said to Moses, Stretch out your hand over the land of Egypt for the locusts, that they may come up on the land of Egypt, and eat every herb of the land, even all that the hail has left.
