But Joshua the son of Nun, and Caleb the son of Jephunneh, remained alive of those men that went to spy out the land.

the same shall purify himself therewith on the third day, and on the seventh day, and he shall be clean: but if he does not purify himself the third day, then the seventh day he shall not be clean.

But the man that shall be unclean, and shall not purify himself, that soul shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of Yahweh: the water for impurity has not been sprinkled on him; he is unclean.

And Sihon would not allow Israel to pass through his border: but Sihon gathered all his people together, and went out against Israel into the wilderness, and came to Jahaz; and he fought against Israel.

And God came to Balaam at night, and said to him, If the men have come to call you, rise up, go with them; but only the word which I speak to you, that you shall do.

And the angel of Yahweh said to Balaam, Go with the men; but only the word that I shall speak to you, that you shall speak. So Balaam went with the princes of Balak.

And Balak said to him, Come, I pray you, with me to another place, from where you may see them; you shall see but the utmost part of them, and shall not see them all: and curse them for me from there.

But Balaam answered and said to Balak, Didn't I tell you, saying, All that Yahweh speaks, that I must do?

And when Balaam saw that it pleased Yahweh to bless Israel, he did not go, as at the other times, to use magic, but he set his face toward the wilderness.

Therefore now you flee to your place: I thought to promote you to great honor; but, look, Yahweh has kept you back from honor.

I see him, but not now; I look at him, but not near: There shall come forth a star out of Jacob, And a scepter shall rise out of Israel, And shall smite through the corners of Moab, And the crown of the head of all the sons of tumult.
