(144-20) The Lord keepeth all them that love him; but all the wicked he will destroy.

But a net is spread in vain before the eyes of them that have wings.

Nor consented to my counsel, but despised all my reproof.

But he that shall hear me, shall rest without terror, and shall enjoy abundance, without fear of evils.

But the wicked shall be destroyed from the earth: and they that do unjustly, shall be taken away from it.

Want is from the Lord in the house of the wicked: but the habitations of the just shall be blessed.

But the path of the just, as a shining light, goeth forwards, and increaseth even to perfect day.

Decline not to the right hand, nor to the left: turn away thy foot from evil. For the Lord knoweth the ways that are on the right hand: but those are perverse which are on the left hand. But he will make thy courses straight, he will bring forward thy ways in peace.

But her end is bitter as wormwood, and sharp as a two-edged sword.

And want shall come upon thee, as a traveller, and poverty as a man armed. But if thou be diligent, thy harvest shall come as a fountain, and want shall flee far from thee.

For the price of a harlot is scarce one loaf: but the woman catcheth the precious soul of a man.

But he that is an adulterer, for the folly of his heart shall destroy his own soul:

But he that shall sin against me shall hurt his own soul. All that hate me love death.

A wise son maketh the father glad: but a foolish son is the sorrow of his mother.

Treasures of wickedness shall profit nothing: but justice shall deliver from death.

The slothful hand hath wrought poverty: but the hand of the industrious getteth riches. He that trusteth to lies feedeth the winds: and the same runneth after birds, that fly away.

He that gathereth in the harvest, is a wise son: but he that snorteth in the summer, is the son of confusion.

The blessing of the Lord is upon the head of the just: but iniquity covereth the mouth of the wicked.

He that walketh sincerely, walketh confidently: but he that perverteth his ways, shall be manifest.

Wise men lay up knowledge: but the mouth of the fool is next to confusion.
