But Yahweh has been my stronghold,And my God the rock of my refuge.

For all the gods of the peoples are idols,But Yahweh made the heavens.

But You, O Yahweh, abide forever,And the remembrance of Your name from generation to generation.

Even they will perish, but You will remain;And all of them will wear out like a garment;Like clothing You will change them and they will be changed.

But You are the same,And Your years will not come to an end.

For He Himself knows our form;He remembers that we are but dust.

But the lovingkindness of Yahweh is from everlasting to everlasting on those who fear Him,And His righteousness to children's children,

Our fathers in Egypt did not consider Your wondrous deeds;They did not remember Your abundant lovingkindnesses,But they rebelled by the sea, at the Red Sea.

But craved intensely in the wilderness,And put God to the test in the wasteland.

So He gave them their request,But sent a wasting disease against their lives.

But grumbled in their tents;They did not listen to the voice of Yahweh.

But they mingled with the nationsAnd learned their works,

Many times He would deliver them;But they were rebellious in their counsel,And so they sank down in their iniquity.

But when they decrease and are bowed downThrough oppression, evil, and sorrow,

But He sets the needy securely on high away from affliction,And makes his families like a flock.

The upright see it and are glad;But all unrighteousness shuts its mouth.

In return for my love they accuse me;But I am in prayer.

Because he did not remember to show lovingkindness,But persecuted the afflicted, the needy man,And the disheartened to put them to death.

But he clothed himself with cursing as his garment,And it came into his inward parts like waterAnd like oil into his bones.

But as for You, O Yahweh, O Lord, deal with me for Your name's sake;Because Your lovingkindness is good, deliver me;
