Their hearts are stubborn; but I keep thy law.

Let the wicked be ashamed, for they have humbled me unjustly; but I have meditated in thy precepts.

They had almost destroyed me upon earth; but I forsook not thy commandments.

The wicked have waited for me to destroy me; but I understand thy testimonies.

I have seen the futility of all things; but thy commandment is exceeding broad.

SEMKETH. I hate the wicked; but thy law do I love.

SHEEN. Princes have persecuted me without a cause; but my heart stands in awe of thy word.

I hate and despise evil; but thy law do I love.

I am for peace; but when I speak they fight with me.

THEY who trust in the LORD in the mount of Zion shall not be moved, but shall dwell there for ever.

But as for those who follow their crooked ways, the LORD will scatter them together with the workers of iniquity; but peace will be upon Israel.

Blessed is the man who has his quiver full of them; he shall not be ashamed, but shall speak with enemies in the gate.

BUT of the depths have I cried to thee, O LORD, and thou hast heard my voice.

His enemies will I clothe with shame; but my holiness shall cover him.

They have mouths, but they speak not; eyes have they, but they see not;

They have ears, but they hear not; neither is there any breath in their mouths.

But overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red sea; for his mercy endures for ever.

Though the LORD be high, yet can he see those who have been brought low; but the proud he knows from afar.

The darkness shall not be dark to thee; but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to thee.

The LORD preserves all who love him; but all the wicked he will destroy.
