It were well for him if a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were thrown into the sea, rather than that he should cause one of these little ones to stumble.

neither shall they say, Look, here! or, There! for look, the kingdom of God is inside you.

for as the lightning, when it flashes out of the one part under the heaven, shines to the other part under heaven; so shall the Son of man be in his day.

But when he heard these things, he became exceedingly sorrowful; for he was very rich.

And Jesus seeing him become exceedingly sorrowful said, How hard it is for those having riches to enter into the kingdom of God!

For it is easier for a camel to enter in through a needle's eye, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

And he said to them, Truly I say to you, There is no man that has left house, or wife, or brothers, or parents, or children, for the kingdom of God's sake,

For he shall be delivered up to the Gentiles, and shall be mocked, and shamefully treated, and spit on:

And he sought to see Jesus who he was; and could not for the crowd, because he was little of stature.

And he ran on before, and climbed up into a sycamore tree to see him: for he was to pass that way.

And when he came to the place, Jesus looked up, and said to him, Zacchaeus, hurry, and come down; for today I must abide at your house.

For the Son of man came to seek and to save that which was lost.

He said therefore, A certain nobleman went into a far country, to receive for himself a kingdom, and to return.

for I feared you, because you are an austere man: you take up that which you did not lay down, and reap that which you did not sow.

And as he was now drawing near, [even] at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works which they had seen;

For the days shall come on you, when your enemies shall cast up a bank about you, and compass you round, and keep you in on every side,

and they could not find what they might do; for the people all hung on him, listening.
