For he taught his disciples, and said to them, The Son of man is delivered up into the hands of men, and they shall kill him; and when he is killed, after three days he shall rise again.

But they held their peace: for they had disputed one with another on the way, who [was] the greatest.

But Jesus said, Don't forbid him: for there is no man who shall do a mighty work in my name, and be able quickly to speak evil of me.

For he that is not against us is for us.

For whoever shall give you a cup of water to drink, because you are Christ's, truly I say to you, he shall in no way lose his reward.

And whoever shall cause one of these little ones that believe in me to stumble, it were better for him if a great millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea.

And if your hand causes you to stumble, cut it off: it is good for you to enter into life maimed, rather than having your two hands to go into hell, into the unquenchable fire.

And if your foot causes you to stumble, cut it off: it is good for you to enter into life halt, rather than having your two feet to be cast into hell.

And if your eye causes you to stumble, cast it out: it is good for you to enter into the kingdom of God with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell;

For every one shall be salted with fire.

And Pharisees came to him, and asked him, Is it lawful for a man to divorce [his] wife? trying him.

But Jesus said to them, For your hardness of heart he wrote you this commandment.

For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife;

But when Jesus saw it, he was moved with indignation, and said to them, Allow the little children to come to me; don't forbid them: for to such belongs the kingdom of God.

But his countenance fell at the saying, and he went away sorrowful: for he was one that had great possessions.

It is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter into the kingdom of God.

Jesus looking on them says, With men it is impossible, but not with God: for all things are possible with God.

Jesus said, Truly I say to you, There is no man that has left house, or brothers, or sisters, or mother, or father, or children, or lands, for my sake, and for the gospel's sake,

And there come near to him James and John, the sons of Zebedee, saying to him, Teacher, we want that you should do for us whatever we shall ask of you.

And he said to them, What do you want that I should do for you?
