But if we say, 'From men,' we are afraid of the crowd, for they all regard John as a prophet."

For whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.

Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You build tombs for the prophets and decorate the monuments of the righteous.

For I tell you that you will not see Me again until you say, 'Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord.'"

For many will come in My name, claiming, 'I am the Christ,' and will deceive many.

And let no one in the field return for his cloak.

How miserable those days will be for pregnant and nursing mothers!

For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again.
