But the Lord was with me. He gave me power to preach the Good News so all the people who do not know God might hear. I was taken from the mouth of the lion.

All things are pure to the man with a pure heart. But to sinful people nothing is pure. Both their minds and their hearts are bad.

They say they know God, but by the way they act, they show that they do not. They are sinful people. They will not obey and are of no use for any good work.

They must not steal from their owners but prove they can be trusted in every way. In this way, their lives will honor the teaching of God Who saves us.

But God, the One Who saves, showed how kind He was and how He loved us

But because I love you, I will only ask you. I am Paul, an old man, here in prison because of Jesus Christ.

At one time he was of no use to you. But now he is of use to you and to me.

But I did not want to keep him without word from you. I did not want you to be kind to me because you had to but because you wanted to.

He ran away from you for awhile. But now he is yours forever.

But in these last days He has spoken to us through His Son. God gave His Son everything. It was by His Son that God made the world.

But when God brought His first-born Son, Jesus, into the world, He said, "Let all the angels of God worship Him."

But about His Son, He says, "O God, Your throne will last forever. Whatever You say in Your nation is right and good.

They will be destroyed but You will always be here. They will all become old just as clothes become old.

You will roll up the heavens like a coat. They will be changed. But You are always the same. You will never grow old."

You have put everything under his feet." There is nothing that does not obey him, but we do not see all things obey him yet.

But we do see Jesus. For a little while He took a place that was not as important as the angels. But God had loving-favor for everyone. He had Jesus suffer death on a cross for all of us. Then, because of Christ's death on a cross, God gave Him the crown of honor and shining-greatness.

But Christ was faithful as a Son Who is Head of God's house. We are of God's house if we keep our trust in the Lord until the end. This is our hope.

The same promise of going into God's rest is still for us. But we should be afraid that some of us may not be able to go in.

We have heard the Good News even as they did, but it did them no good because it was not mixed with faith.

But God said this about those who turned against Him, "They will not go into My rest."
