And after he entered the synagogue, he continued speaking out boldly for three months, reasoning and persuading them about the kingdom of God.

This took place for two years, so that all who lived in Asia heard the word of the Lord, both Jews and Greeks.

And having sent into Macedonia two of those who ministered to him, Timothy and Erastus, he himself stayed in Asia for a while.

For a man named Demetrius, a silversmith, who made silver shrines of Artemis, was bringing no little business to the craftsmen;

So then, some were shouting one thing and some another, for the meeting was in confusion and the majority did not know for what reason they had come together.

But when they recognized that he was a Jew, a single cry arose from them all as they shouted for about two hours, "Great is Artemis of the Ephesians!"

For you have brought these men here who are neither robbers of temples nor blasphemers of our goddess.

For indeed we are in danger of being accused of a riot in connection with today's events, since there is no cause for which we can give as an account for this disorderly gathering."

And there he spent three months, and when a plot was formed against him by the Jews as he was about to set sail for Syria, he decided to return through Macedonia.

But these had gone on ahead and were waiting for us at Troas.

But Paul went down and fell upon him, and after embracing him, he said, "Do not be troubled, for his life is in him."

But we, going ahead to the ship, set sail for Assos, intending from there to take Paul on board; for so he had arranged it, intending himself to go by land.

For Paul had decided to sail past Ephesus so that he would not have to spend time in Asia; for he was hurrying to be in Jerusalem, if possible, on the day of Pentecost.

For I did not shrink from declaring to you the whole purpose of God.

Be on guard for yourselves and for all the flock, among which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to shepherd the church of God which He purchased with His own blood.

Therefore be watchful, remembering that night and day for a period of three years I did not cease to admonish each one with tears.

And when we had finished the voyage from Tyre, we arrived at Ptolemais, and after greeting the brothers, we stayed with them for a day.

And as we were staying there for some days, a prophet named Agabus came down from Judea.

Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, crying and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus."
