For the Law was given through Moses, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.

This is He about whom I said, After me comes a Man who has been before me, for He was preceding me.

And I did not know Him; but that He be revealed to Israel, for this reason I came baptizing in water.

and because He had no need that anyone should witness concerning man, for He knew what was in man.

This one came to Jesus by night and said to Him, Rabbi, we know that You have come as a teacher from God. For no one is able to do these miraculous signs which You do, except God be with Him.

For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that everyone believing into Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

For God did not send His Son into the world that He might judge the world, but that the world might be saved through Him.

The one believing into Him is not condemned; but the one not believing has already been condemned, for he has not believed into the name of the only begotten Son of God.

And this is the judgment, that the Light has come into the world, and men loved the darkness more than the Light, for their works were evil.

For everyone practicing wickedness hates the Light, and does not come to the Light, that his works may not be exposed.

And John was also baptizing in Aenon, near Salim, for many waters were there. And they came and were being baptized.

For John had not yet been thrown into the prison.

For the One whom God sent speaks the Words of God, for God does not give the Spirit by measure.

And it was needful for Him to pass through Samaria.

For His disciples had gone away into the city that they might buy provisions.

Then the Samaritan woman said to Him, How do You, being a Jew, ask to drink from me, I being a Samaritan woman? For Jews do not deal with Samaritans.

For you have had five husbands, and now he whom you have is not your husband. You have spoken this truly.

You worship what you do not know; we worship what we know, for salvation is of the Jews.

But an hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth. For the Father also seeks such, the ones worshiping Him.

Do you not say, It is yet four months and the harvest comes? Behold, I say to you, Lift up your eyes and behold the fields, for they are already white to harvest.
