Then it happened, as they were parting from Him, that Peter said to Jesus, "Master, it is good for us to be here; and let us make three tabernacles: one for You, one for Moses, and one for Elijah"--not knowing what he said.

Suddenly a man from the multitude cried out, saying, "Teacher, I implore You, look on my son, for he is my only child.

"Let these words sink down into your ears, for the Son of Man is about to be betrayed into the hands of men."

and said to them, "Whoever receives this little child in My name receives Me; and whoever receives Me receives Him who sent Me. For he who is least among you all will be great."

But Jesus said to him, "Do not forbid him, for he who is not against us [fn] is on our [fn] side."

Now it came to pass, when the time had come for Him to be received up, that He steadfastly set His face to go to Jerusalem,

and sent messengers before His face. And as they went, they entered a village of the Samaritans, to prepare for Him.

But they did not receive Him, because His face was set for the journey to Jerusalem.

For the Son of Man did not come to destroy men's lives but to save them." [fn] And they went to another village.

But Jesus said to him, "No one, having put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God."

And remain in the same house, eating and drinking such things as they give, for the laborer is worthy of his wages. Do not go from house to house.

But [fn] I say to you that it will be more tolerable in that Day for Sodom than for that city.

Matthew 11:20-24">[xr] "Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works which were done in you had been done in Tyre and Sidon, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

But it will be more tolerable for Tyre and Sidon at the judgment than for you.

Matthew 11:25-27">[xr] In that hour Jesus rejoiced in the Spirit and said, "I thank You, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and prudent and revealed them to babes. Even so, Father, for so it seemed good in Your sight.

for I tell you that many prophets and kings have desired to see what you see, and have not seen it, and to hear what you hear, and have not heard it."

And forgive us our sins,For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.And do not lead us into temptation,But deliver us from the evil one." [fn]

for a friend of mine has come to me on his journey, and I have nothing to set before him';

For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened.

If a son asks for bread [fn] from any father among you, will he give him a stone? Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent instead of a fish?
