For with the judgment you make you will be judged, and the measure you give will be the measure you get.

"Ask, and it will be given you; search, and you will find; knock, and the door will be opened for you.

For everyone who asks receives, and everyone who searches finds, and for everyone who knocks, the door will be opened.

Is there anyone among you who, if your child asks for bread, will give a stone?

Or if the child asks for a fish, will give a snake?

"In everything do to others as you would have them do to you; for this is the law and the prophets.

"Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is easy that leads to destruction, and there are many who take it.

For the gate is narrow and the road is hard that leads to life, and there are few who find it.

for he taught them as one having authority, and not as their scribes.

For I also am a man under authority, with soldiers under me; and I say to one, ‘Go,' and he goes, and to another, ‘Come,' and he comes, and to my slave, ‘Do this,' and the slave does it."

And to the centurion Jesus said, "Go; let it be done for you according to your faith." And the servant was healed in that hour.

For which is easier, to say, ‘Your sins are forgiven,' or to say, ‘Stand up and walk'?

Go and learn what this means, ‘I desire mercy, not sacrifice.' For I have come to call not the righteous but sinners."

No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old cloak, for the patch pulls away from the cloak, and a worse tear is made.

Then suddenly a woman who had been suffering from hemorrhages for twelve years came up behind him and touched the fringe of his cloak,

for she said to herself, "If I only touch his cloak, I will be made well."

he said, "Go away; for the girl is not dead but sleeping." And they laughed at him.

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion for them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.

no bag for your journey, or two tunics, or sandals, or a staff; for laborers deserve their food.

Truly I tell you, it will be more tolerable for the land of Sodom and Gomorrah on the day of judgment than for that town.
