Even one of their own prophets said, "Cretans are always liars, evil animals, and lazy people who do nothing but eat."

To those who are pure, all things are pure, but to those who are full of sin and do not believe, nothing is pure. Both their minds and their consciences have been ruined.

They say they know God, but their actions show they do not accept him. They are hateful people, they refuse to obey, and they are useless for doing anything good.

But you must tell everyone what to do to follow the true teaching.

In the same way, teach older women to be holy in their behavior, not speaking against others or enslaved to too much wine, but teaching what is good.

They should not steal from them but should show their masters they can be fully trusted so that in everything they do they will make the teaching of God our Savior attractive.

But when the kindness and love of God our Savior was shown,

But stay away from those who have foolish arguments and talk about useless family histories and argue and quarrel about the law. Those things are worth nothing and will not help anyone.

But because I love you, I am pleading with you instead. I, Paul, an old man now and also a prisoner for Christ Jesus,

In the past he was useless to you, but now he has become useful for both you and me.

But I did not want to do anything without asking you first so that any good you do for me will be because you want to do it, not because I forced you.

no longer as a slave, but better than a slave, as a loved brother. I love him very much, but you will love him even more, both as a person and as a believer in the Lord.

But now in these last days God has spoken to us through his Son. God has chosen his Son to own all things, and through him he made the world.

But God said this about his Son: "God, your throne will last forever and ever. You will rule your kingdom with fairness.

They will be destroyed, but you will remain. They will all wear out like clothes.

You will fold them like a coat. And, like clothes, you will change them. But you never change, and your life will never end." Psalm 102:25–27

But we see Jesus, who for a short time was made lower than the angels. And now he is wearing a crown of glory and honor because he suffered and died. And by God's grace, he died for everyone.

Clearly, it is not angels that Jesus helps, but the people who are from Abraham.

Every house is built by someone, but the builder of everything is God himself.

But Christ is faithful as a Son over God's house. And we are God's house if we confidently maintain our hope.
