Now therefore thus says the Lord , ‘You shall not leave the bed to which you have gone, but you shall surely die.'" So Elijah went.

They answered him, "There came a man to meet us, who said to us, ‘Go back to the king who sent you, and say to him: Thus says the Lord : Is it because there is no God in Israel that you are sending to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron? Therefore you shall not leave the bed to which you have gone, but shall surely die.'"

and said to him, "Thus says the Lord : Because you have sent messengers to inquire of Baal-zebub, the god of Ekron,—is it because there is no God in Israel to inquire of his word?—therefore you shall not leave the bed to which you have gone, but you shall surely die."

Then he went to the spring of water and threw the salt into it, and said, "Thus says the Lord , I have made this water wholesome; from now on neither death nor miscarriage shall come from it."

And he said, "Thus says the Lord , ‘I will make this wadi full of pools.'

For thus says the Lord , ‘You shall see neither wind nor rain, but the wadi shall be filled with water, so that you shall drink, you, your cattle, and your animals.'

But his servant said, "How can I set this before a hundred people?" So he repeated, "Give it to the people and let them eat, for thus says the Lord , ‘They shall eat and have some left.'"

But Elisha said, "Hear the word of the Lord : thus says the Lord , Tomorrow about this time a measure of choice meal shall be sold for a shekel, and two measures of barley for a shekel, at the gate of Samaria."

Then take the flask of oil, pour it on his head, and say, ‘Thus says the Lord : I anoint you king over Israel.' Then open the door and flee; do not linger."

So Jehu got up and went inside; the young man poured the oil on his head, saying to him, "Thus says the Lord the God of Israel: I anoint you king over the people of the Lord , over Israel.

They said, "Liar! Come on, tell us!" So he said, "This is just what he said to me: ‘Thus says the Lord , I anoint you king over Israel.'"

‘For the blood of Naboth and for the blood of his children that I saw yesterday, says the Lord , I swear I will repay you on this very plot of ground.' Now therefore lift him out and throw him on the plot of ground, in accordance with the word of the Lord ."

Isaiah said to them, "Say to your master, ‘Thus says the Lord : Do not be afraid because of the words that you have heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have reviled me.

Then Isaiah son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, "Thus says the Lord , the God of Israel: I have heard your prayer to me about King Sennacherib of Assyria.

"Therefore thus says the Lord concerning the king of Assyria: He shall not come into this city, shoot an arrow there, come before it with a shield, or cast up a siege ramp against it.

By the way that he came, by the same he shall return; he shall not come into this city, says the Lord .

In those days Hezekiah became sick and was at the point of death. The prophet Isaiah son of Amoz came to him, and said to him, "Thus says the Lord : Set your house in order, for you shall die; you shall not recover."

"Turn back, and say to Hezekiah prince of my people, Thus says the Lord , the God of your ancestor David: I have heard your prayer, I have seen your tears; indeed, I will heal you; on the third day you shall go up to the house of the Lord .

Days are coming when all that is in your house, and that which your ancestors have stored up until this day, shall be carried to Babylon; nothing shall be left, says the Lord .

therefore thus says the Lord , the God of Israel, I am bringing upon Jerusalem and Judah such evil that the ears of everyone who hears of it will tingle.
