"So I will come to put you on trial. I will be quick to testify against sorcerers, adulterers and perjurers, against those who defraud laborers of their wages, who oppress the widows and the fatherless, and deprive the foreigners among you of justice, but do not fear me," says the Lord Almighty.

Ever since the time of your ancestors you have turned away from my decrees and have not kept them. Return to me, and I will return to you," says the Lord Almighty. "But you ask, ‘How are we to return?'

Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this," says the Lord Almighty, "and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.

I will prevent pests from devouring your crops, and the vines in your fields will not drop their fruit before it is ripe," says the Lord Almighty.

"Then all the nations will call you blessed, for yours will be a delightful land," says the Lord Almighty.

"You have spoken arrogantly against me," says the Lord . "Yet you ask, ‘What have we said against you?'

"On the day when I act," says the Lord Almighty, "they will be my treasured possession. I will spare them, just as a father has compassion and spares his son who serves him.

"Surely the day is coming; it will burn like a furnace. All the arrogant and every evildoer will be stubble, and the day that is coming will set them on fire," says the Lord Almighty. "Not a root or a branch will be left to them.

Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act," says the Lord Almighty.

"Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven.

If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away."

He said to them, "How is it then that David, speaking by the Spirit, calls him ‘Lord'? For he says,

And the Lord said, "Listen to what the unjust judge says.

"‘Heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool. What kind of house will you build for me? says the Lord. Or where will my resting place be?

that the rest of mankind may seek the Lord, even all the Gentiles who bear my name, says the Lord, who does these things'—

But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our message?"

Do not take revenge, my dear friends, but leave room for God's wrath, for it is written: "It is mine to avenge; I will repay," says the Lord.

It is written: "‘As surely as I live,' says the Lord, ‘every knee will bow before me; every tongue will acknowledge God.'"

Therefore I want you to know that no one who is speaking by the Spirit of God says, "Jesus be cursed," and no one can say, "Jesus is Lord," except by the Holy Spirit.

In the Law it is written: "With other tongues and through the lips of foreigners I will speak to this people, but even then they will not listen to me, says the Lord."
