I was 7, and I remember being given a part in a play and thinking, This is exciting.

If I can't play for big money, I play for a little money. And if I can't play for a little money, I stay in bed that day.

It is one thing to record an album but it's a huge difference when people play it and listen to it and embrace it the way that I do. It has always been my dream to get my music out to the world and have people hear it.

Throughout the evening I would be recording these long saxophone delays and about four hours into the concert, if I wanted to take a break I would just play back the saxophone.

If you play the very subtle jazz tunes with acoustic pianos, acoustic bass and it's a dead standard, you are going to play very differently. It depends on the music.

Some players are more physical than others, some play with more finesse. Some are just really great all-around players. So you have to change your game.
