Benefactress, born Paris, at commencement of 17th century. The wife of Claude de Bullion, keeper of seals and superintendent of finances under Louis XIII, after his death she gave large sums to what is now the city of Montreal, Canada, and founded and endowed the hospital of that city, known as the Hôtel-Dieu. Her identity as benefactress was revealed only after her death.
