'I will set out and go to my father, and will say to him, "Father, I have sinned against heaven, and in your sight;

"And the son said to him, 'Father, I have sinned against heaven and in your sight; I am no longer worthy to be called your son.'

"But it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for one stroke of a letter of the Law to fail.

but on the day that Lot left Sodom, it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all.

"But the tax collector, standing some distance away, was even unwilling to raise his eyes toward heaven, but was beating his chest, saying, 'God, be merciful to me, the sinner!'

shouting: "BLESSED IS the King, THE ONE WHO COMES IN THE NAME OF THE LORD; Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!"

"Was the baptism of John from heaven or from men?"

They discussed among themselves, saying, "If we say, 'From heaven,' He will say, 'Why did you not believe him?'

and there will be massive earthquakes, and in various places plagues and famines; and there will be terrible sights and great signs from heaven.

"Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will not pass away.

[Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him.

While He was blessing them, He parted from them and was carried up into heaven.

And John testified, saying, "I have seen the Spirit descending as a dove out of heaven, and He remained upon Him.

And He said to him, "Truly, truly, I say to you, you will see heaven opened and the angels of God ascending and descending on the Son of Man."

"No one has ascended into heaven, except He who descended from heaven: the Son of Man.

John replied, "A person can receive not even one thing unless it has been given to him from heaven.

"He who comes from above is above all; the one who is only from the earth is of the earth and speaks of the earth. He who comes from heaven is above all.

"Our fathers ate the manna in the wilderness; as it is written: 'HE GAVE THEM BREAD OUT OF HEAVEN TO EAT.'"

Jesus then said to them, "Truly, truly, I say to you, it is not Moses who has given you the bread out of heaven, but it is My Father who gives you the true bread out of heaven.
