Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

שֶׁצֶף once found, Isaiah 54:8, שֶׁצֶף קֶצֶף “an inundation (pouring out) of wrath,” i.q. שֶׁטֶף אַף Proverbs 27:4. The form שֶׁצֶף appears to have been used for שֶׁטֶף by the writer, for the sake of paronomasia.
