[most Jedi'ael] (Heb. Yedial', יְדַיעֲאֵל , known by God; Sept. Ι᾿αδιήλ, Ἀδιήλ, Ι᾿εδιήλ), the name of at least three men.

1. One of the sons of Benjamin (1 Chronicles 7:6), whose sons (1 Chronicles 7:10) and descendants are enumerated as being 17,200 warriors in David's census (1 Chronicles 7:11). He is, perhaps, the same elsewhere called ASHBEL (1 Chronicles 8:1). (See BENJAMIN); (See JACOB).

2. A Shimrite (q.v.); one of David's famous bodyguard (1 Chronicles 11:45); probably the Manassite of the same name who joined David's troop at Zikiag (1 Chronicles 12:20). B.C. 1053-1046.

3. A Korhite of the Levitical family of Ebiasaph, second son of Meshelemiah, and one of the gate-keepers to the tabernacle or Temple (1 Chronicles 26:2). B.C. 1014.
