a veteran Baptist minister, was born at Wells, Maine, June 22, 1743. He was converted at the age of twenty-two, licensed to preach in 1793, and in 1798 was ordained pastor of the Church in Wells, the service being performed in Berwick. After his resignation, in 1820, Mr. Eaton was engaged for several years in evangelistic labors in the section of the country in which he lived. His death took place in December 1831.
