"a lair, burrow, den or hole," is used of foxes in Matthew 8:20; Luke 9:58 .

2: ὀπή

(Strong's #3692 — Noun Feminine — ope — op-ay' )

is translated "holes" in Hebrews 11:38 , RV, AV "caves." See CAVE , OPENING.
