NAS – "For he took his life in his hand and struck the Philistine, and the Lord brought about a great deliverance for all Israel; you saw {it} and rejoiced. Why then will you sin against innocent blood by putting David to death without a cause?"
ALE – וישם את נפשו בכפו ויך את הפלשתי ויעש יהוה תשועה גדולה לכל ישראל ראית־ותשמח ולמה תחטא בדם נקי להמית את דוד חנם
BHS – וַיָּשֶׂם֩ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֙ו בְכַפֹּ֜ו וַיַּ֣ךְ אֶת־הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֗י וַיַּ֙עַשׂ יְהוָ֜ה תְּשׁוּעָ֤ה גְדֹולָה֙ לְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רָאִ֖יתָ וַתִּשְׂמָ֑ח וְלָ֤מָּה תֶֽחֱטָא֙ בְּדָ֣ם נָקִ֔י לְהָמִ֥ית אֶת־דָּוִ֖ד חִנָּֽם׃
MAS – וישׂם את נפשׁו בכפו ויך את הפלשׁתי ויעשׂ יהוה תשׁועה גדולה לכל ישׂראל ראית ותשׂמח ולמה תחטא בדם נקי להמית את דוד חנם
WLC – וַיָּשֶׂם֩ אֶת־נַפְשֹׁ֙ו בְכַפֹּ֜ו וַיַּ֣ךְ אֶת־הַפְּלִשְׁתִּ֗י וַיַּ֙עַשׂ יְהוָ֜ה תְּשׁוּעָ֤ה גְדֹולָה֙ לְכָל־יִשְׂרָאֵ֔ל רָאִ֖יתָ וַתִּשְׂמָ֑ח וְלָ֤מָּה תֶֽחֱטָא֙ בְּדָ֣ם נָקִ֔י לְהָמִ֥ית אֶת־דָּוִ֖ד חִנָּֽם׃
RAH – καὶ ἔθετο τὴν ψυχὴν αὐτοῦ ἐν τῇ χειρὶ αὐτοῦ καὶ ἐπάταξεν τὸν ἀλλόφυλον, καὶ ἐποίησεν κύριος σωτηρίαν μεγάλην, καὶ πᾶς Ισραηλ εἶδον καὶ ἐχάρησαν· καὶ ἵνα τί ἁμαρτάνεις εἰς αἷμα ἀθῷον θανατῶσαι τὸν Δαυιδ δωρεάν
