Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

עֲלוּמִים (denom. from עֶלֶם, עַלְמָה of the form זְקֻנִים, בְּתוּלִים), m. pl. youth, juvenile age, Psalms 89:46; Job 33:25 poet. used of juvenile strength. Job 20:11, עַצְמֹותָיו מָֽלְאוּ עֲלוּמָיו “(although) his bones are full of juvenile strength,” as well rendered by the LXX., Chald., Syriac (others take it as hidden sins). Used of the youthful period of a people, Isaiah 54:4.
