נֵכָר const. נֵכַר Deuteronomy 31:16, something strange

(a) a strange or foreign country. Hence בֶּן־נֵכָר, pl. בְּנֵי נֵכָר a stranger, strangers, Genesis 17:12, 27 Genesis 17:27; Exodus 12:43 sometimes with the additional notion of hostility, Psalms 18:45, 46 Psalms 18:46. אֱלֹהֵי הַנֵּכָר strange gods, Genesis 35:2; Jeremiah 5:19.

(b) a strange or unknown thing, specially used of a strange god, Nehemiah 13:30; 2 Chronicles 14:2.
