Gesenius' Hebrew and Chaldee Definition

נוּם to slumber, especially through indolence and sloth, Nah, 3:18 Isaiah 56:10; Psalms 121:3; Isaiah 5:27. It differs from יָשֵׁן to go to sleep. In Arabic, on the contrary, نَامَ is to go to sleep, وَسِنَ to be asleep.
