גֹּבַהּ m. with suff. גָּבְהוֹ,

(1)  height, of trees, buildings, etc., Ezekiel 1:18, 40:42 1 Samuel 17:4; Amos 2:9; Job 22:12, הֲלֹא־אֱלוֹהַּ גֹּבַהּ שָׁמַיִם “is not God in the height of heaven?” Pl. constr. Job 11:8, גָּבְהֵי שָׁמַיִם מַה־תִּפְעַל “the heights of heaven (are those deep things of the divine wisdom); what wilt thou do?”

(2) majesty, magnificence, Jeremiah 40:10.

(3) pride, arrogance, Jeremiah 48:29 more fully גֹּבַהּ לֵב 2 Chronicles 36:16 גֹּבַהּ רוּחַ Proverbs 16:18 and גֹּבַהּ אַף Psalms 10:4 which last phrase is very frequent in Arabic, see Thes. p. 257.
