HG 1.7.29; ἐπανελθεῖν ὁπόθεν.. ἐξέβην βούλομαι D. 18.211; ἀλλ' ἐκεῖσε ἐπανέρχομαι ib.66; εἰς τὰ γράμματα ταῦτα ἐπανελθεῖν refer to.., Id. 28.5. recur, of intermittent fevers, etc., Gal. 7.412, 16.711.

For this verb (Luke 10:35; Luke 19:15) we may cite the interesting rescript P Lond 904.23 (A.D. 104) (= III. p. 125, Selections, p. 73) ordering all persons who happen to be residing out of their homes ἐπα [νελ ]θεῖν εἰς τὰ ἑαυ [τῶν ἐ ]φέστια in view of the approaching census : cf. Luke 2:1 ff. For other exx. see P Flor I. 61.64 (A.D. 85) (= Chrest. II. p. 89) μ ]ετὰ εἴκοσι ἔτη ἐπανελεύσῃ πρὸς ἐμέ, P Oxy VI. 933.17 (late ii/A.D.) ὥστε ἐπανελθόντα σε μαρτυρήθη (l. μαρτυρήσειν), ";so that when you come back you will bear me witness,"; so ib. VII. 1064.11 (ii/A.D.), P Tebt II. 333.10 (A.D. 216) μεχρὶ τούτ [ο ]υ οὐκ ἐπανῆλθαν, ";up to this time they have not returned,"; BGU I. 266.12 (iii/A.D.) δ [η ]λ ̣. . . ἐπανεληλυθέναι [τοὺ ]ς πρ [ο ]κειμ [έν ]ους καμήλ (ους) δύο, and from the inscrr.
