Vocabulary of the Greek NT

We can produce no fresh evidence to throw light on the meaning of this difficult verb in the NT, but the LXX usage (Daniel 11:30, cf. Psa. 7꞉12 Aq. [MT Psalms 7:11] , Isaiah 17:13 Sm) is in favour of the meaning ";am angry,"; ";express violent displeasure,"; perhaps with the added idea of ";within oneself."; See Allen on Mark 1:43, and Souter Lex. s.v.
