4. copper ticket given to the dicasts, bearing the name of the court in which they were to serve, D. 39.10.
5. piece of copper money, πονηρὰ χαλκία Ar. Ra. 724 (troch.); παραλαβὼν τὼ χαλκίω Eub. 83; cf. Poll. 9.90. — Freq. written χαλκεῖον in codd., but χαλκίον is required by the metre in Com., and corroborated by Inscrr. (v. supr.), and Pap., PCair.Zen. 630.4 (iii B. C.), PMich.Zen. 65.2 (iii B.
