Wolf, Adolph Grant

The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia

American jurist; born at Washington, D. C., Jan. 11, 1869; educated at Johns Hopkins University (A.B. 1890) and at the George Washington (formerly Columbian) University of Washington, D. C. (LL.B. 1892; LL.M. 1893). He was admitted to the bar in 1893, and then took a postgraduate course at the University of Berlin. Upon his return to the United States (1895) he became financial secretary of the United Hebrew Charities at Washington; and in 1902 he was appointed associate justice of the Supreme Court of Porto Rico.
