The 1901 Jewish Encyclopedia

French Talmudist of the first half of the thirteenth century, a descendant of Rashi. In his youth he addressed a circular letter, probably cabalistic in nature, to the Provençal Asher ben David, to which the latter alludes in his cabalistic work, written about the middle of the thirteenth century, on the explanation of the thirteen attributes of God.
