Wells, Horatio T., Ll.d.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Protestant Episcopal clergyman, was head master of the English department in Burlington College, N.J., in 1859, and the following year acting rector of the college; in 1862 was principal of a boys' school in Andalusia, Pennsylvania, which institution, in 1866, became known as Andalusia College. Mr. Wells was elected president and professor of English literature and commercial law, and remained at the head of the college until his death, in December, 1871. See Prot. Episc.
