Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian clergyman, was born and educated in Scotland, and began his ministry at Dyserf, in Ayrshire, where be preached for some years. He came to London in 1751, and became pastor at Founder's Hall. His health soon gave way, and he died before he had been a year in, the metropolis, yet he was so much esteemed that the Church collected two hundred and fifty pounds for the benefit of his wife and children.
