Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
[most Sisanm'ai', some Sisama'i] (Heb. Sismay', סַסְמִי, of uncertain ctymology, perhaps distinguished; Sept. Σοσομαϊ ), son of Eleasah, and father of Shallum, descendants of Sheshan, of the line of Jerahmeel, the grandson of Judah (1 Chronicles 1:40). B.C. apparently not long ante 1618.
