Ramsey, James Beverlin, D.D.

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

a Presbyterian minister, was born near Elkton, Maryland, May 20, 1814. He graduated from Lafayette College in 1836, and from Princeton Theological Seminary in 1840; became pastor at West Farms, N.Y., in 1841, after 1846 a missionary to the Choctaw Indians, teacher and stated supply in various places, until his death, July 23, 1871.
