an eminent French Protestant minister, the youngest son of Jean (q.v.), was born in Paris, January 20, 1814., He studied at Lausanne and Strasburg; and in 1838 was deacon at Marseilles. In 1842 he was appointed member of consistory, and died July 13, 1881. For forty years he preached in the same church with great success.
