a Congregational minister, was born at New London, Connecticut, June 22, 1808. He graduated from Yale College in 1827, and from Yale Divinity School in 1833; was home missionary for one year at Pontiac, Michigan; pastor at Middletown, Connecticut, from 1835 to 1838; at Enfield, Massachusetts, from 1842 to 1861, and died at New London, August 29, 1883.
