John the Little

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

or JOHANNES PARVUS (Jean Petit), a French theologian, was born in Normandy in the latter half of the 14th century. He was at one time professor of theology in the University of Paris, but was deposed for having, on the 8th of March, 1408, pronounced a discourse in justification of the murder of the duke of Orleans, brother of the king of France, who was assassinated by the duke of Burgundy.
