Gualbert, Giovanni
Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
(St. Johannes), founder of the Coenobite order of Vallombrosa (vallis umbrosa), in the Apennines, seven leagues from Florence. He died July 12, 1073, and was canonized by pope Celes-tine III in 1193.
