Galla, Saint

Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature

was a daughter of Symmachus, a Roman noble, who died in the former part of the 6th century; she became a widow while very young, and took the veil at St. Peter's monastery. She is commemorated October 5.
