Cyclopedia of Biblical, Theological and Ecclesiastical Literature
An expression employed by our Lord to denote (after an Oriental figure) "his Spirit," represented by his flesh and blood, as these again are by the sacramental bread and wine (Eden). (See EUCHARIST).
