a Baptist minister, was born at Buckfield, Me., about 1770, and was among the original Baptists of the place. In 1796, soon after the formation of a Church in the town, he was licensed, and in 1801 was called to the pastorate of the Church, which prospered under his ministry for thirty-four years.
