a Baptist minister, was born at Montville, Me., in 1819, and was ordained in 1839. He was pastor of several churches in his native state, and in 1851 removed to Hudson, Wis. In 1854 the American Baptist Missionary Union appointed him a missionary among the Indians. Subsequently he preached at Osceola, St. Croix Falls, and Taylor Falls, Wis. He died May 1,1878.
